CRP and nutritional deficiency disease: Results showed that CRP differed only between patients not at risk and those at moderate/severe risk (CONUT 0–1: 2.0 (4.9) mg/L, versus CONUT ≥ 5: 8.5 (27.1) mg/L; p = 0.008); while higher levels of both IL-1 β and IL-6 were found in patients at high risk of malnutrition (CONUT ≥ 5) compared to those at low risk.
