Univariate regression analysis revealed that the presence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (OR 1.43; 95% CI 1.17–3.57; p = 0.012), diastolic dysfunction (OR 3.18; 95% CI 1.16–4.12; p < 0.001), smoking (OR 2.01; 95% CI 0.99–2.43; p = 0.043), the hyperexpression of NT-proBNP ≥ 760.5 pg/mL (OR 2.13; 95% CI 1.78–4.87; p = 0.009), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein ≥ 2.7 g/L (OR 1.63; 95% CI 0.98–2.54; p = 0.013) and soluble ST2 ≥ 31.4 ng/mL (OR 1.97; 95% 1.16–5.12; p = 0.003) were associated with CMD (Table 4).
