EGFR and colorectal cancer: MTX-211 (also called methanesulfonamide, N-[2-chloro-5-[4-[(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)amino]-6-quinazolinyl]-3-pyridinyl]) is a first-in-class dual inhibitor of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and phosphoinositide-3 kinase (PI3K) with a molecular weight of 478.33 and a chemical formula of C20H14Cl2FN5O2S. Maust reported that MTX-211 exhibited robust in vivo growth-inhibitory efficacy against BRAF-mutant and KRAS-mutant colorectal cancer models.
