The expression of CD68 and CD163 was found significantly increased only in lipedema in comparison to secondary lymphedema and lipohypertrophy (CD68: L = 1.369 ± 0.4872 fold, LE = 0.6578 ± 0.6455 fold, H = 0.8341 ± 0.4209 fold; CD163: L = 3.808 ± 2.549 fold, LE = 1.399 ± 1.639 fold, H = 1.382 ± 1.183 fold) (Figure 4I–L), thus these findings are in line with our previous histological findings. This evidence concerns the gene CD163 and lymphedema.
