ADSL and leukemia: Some AMPs derived from bacteria, such as Surfactin secreted by Bacillus subtilis, have been proven to have anticancer effects, exhibiting potent inhibitory activity against human breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231, the leukemia cell line K562, the cervical cancer cell line HeLa, the rectal cancer cell line LoVo, the histiocytic lymphoma cell line U-937, and another mouse monocyte macrophage leukemia cell line RAW264 [7,9,10].
