The inflammatory status was evidenced in the liver by a higher expression of phosphorylated p38 MAPK and IL-6 in the HFD-fed mice in comparison with the non-obese control group (Figure 6B), which correlates with the hepatic steatosis and the inflammatory cell infiltration that took place in the liver as previously reported in obesity [32]. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and Hepatic steatosis.
