Changes in NR3C1 methylation, particularly in peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs) that correlate with the severity of neuropsychiatric symptoms are found in parents and offspring with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), borderline personality disorder, MDD, and other disorders [36,53,55,66,69,70,350,351,352].
