Wnt3a, an important target of bone remodeling, increased the secretion of osteoprotegerin [OPG, a decoy receptor of receptor activator of nuclear factor κB ligand (RANKL)] by activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to accelerate bone repair processes in osteoporosis models; whereas, silencing of Wnt3a reduced osteoblast differentiation and mineralization [39, 40].
