The understanding of beta amyloid (Aβ) and tau peptides as biomarkers in the CSF (Aβ42, Aβ40, t-tau, p-tau) in AD development has led to the AT(N) scoring system for neuroimaging assessment of AD and other neurological disease: A indicates PET ligand binding of Aβ plaques or low CSFAb42, T, CSF phosphorylated tau, N, neurodegeneration or injury (N) [9, 10]. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
