While data on acromegaly, a state of chronic growth hormone (GH)/insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) excess, suggest an inverse relationship with intrahepatic lipid (IHL) content, less is known about the impact of the GH/IGF-I axis on IHL, lipid composition, and phosphor metabolites in individuals without disorders of GH secretion. Here, GH1 is linked to acromegaly.
