WEE1 and cancer: Wee1 could mark the completion of DNA replication and genetic integrity via Y15 phosphorylation and H2B Y37 phosphorylation, inhibiting Wee1 function and inducing mitotic catastrophe, therefore Wee1 is a crucial regulator for DNA replication, histone transcription, and chromosome condensation, making it a potential target for cancer treatment, especially for combination use with a DSB conductor (e.g., radio‐sensitizing effects).
