Patients with diabetes had a significantly higher C-reactive protein (CRP), creatinine, and blood glucose, while there was no difference found between the white blood cell count (WBC), hemoglobin (Hb), or sodium. The average LRINEC score for the non-diabetes cohort with confirmed NF was found to be 7.24 compared to 9.02 in the diabetes cohort (p = 0.027).
