Studies carried out by many centers have confirmed that everolimus induces apoptosis in a variety of tumors cells: pancreatic cancer (Peng and Dou 2017), ovarian cancer (Guo et al. 2016), colon cancer (He et al. 2016), breast cancer (Du et al. 2018), N-RAS mutant neuroblastoma cell lines (Kiessling et al. 2016), and T-cell leukemia/lymphoma in long-term treatment (Darwiche et al. 2011). The gene discussed is NRAS; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
