The results revealed that older age (OR = 1.05, 95% CI = 1.04–1.06, P < 0.001), diabetes mellitus (OR = 1.39, 95% CI = 1.07–1.81, P = 0.013), heart failure (OR = 1.41, 95% CI = 1.04–1.89, P = 0.025), and cancer (OR = 1.50, 95% CI = 1.16–1.95, P = 0.002) were associated with a mean 3-month albumin level of < 3.5 g/dL.
