An RCT found that the cumulative incidence of MACE in high-risk patients with CVD (acute coronary syndrome, stroke, peripheral arterial disease, or type 2 diabetes with coronary artery disease in the past 30 to 365 days) treated with statins increased with increasing lipid levels when hs-CRP was ≥ 2 mg/L. Here, CRP is linked to coronary artery disorder.
