Transfection of the DLEU2 plasmid in CLL resulted in rapid upregulation of miR-15a and miR-16-1, and overexpression of DLEU2 negatively regulated cyclin E1 and D1 in an miR-15a/miR-16-1 dependent manner, and inhibited proliferation and colony formation of tumor cells [29]. Here, DLEU2 is linked to B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
