PDPK1 and breast cancer: In vitro experiments, (N et al., 2015), discovered that breast cancer cells transfer miR-181c into endothelial cells by secreting small EVs that inhibit the target gene 3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase 1 (PDPK1), resulting in the downregulation of phosphorylated cofilin and the resultant activated cofilin-induced modulation of actin dynamics.
