When distinguishing HCC from CH, an AUC value of 0.827 (95% CI=0.787–0.866) could be obtained by combining SP70 and AFP, which was significantly higher than a combination of AFP and PIVKA-II (AUC=0.778, 95% CI=0.737–0.820, P=0.015), combination of SP70 and PIVKA-II (AUC=0.773, 95% CI=0.726–0.820, P=0.002) and PIVKA-II (P=0.009) alone.
