CD79A and dermatitis herpetiformis: Linear immunoglobulin A (IgA) bullous dermatosis (LABD) is an autoimmune blistering disease notable for subepidermal blisters and linear IgA basement membrane antibody deposition [1]. It was originally thought to be a subtype of dermatitis herpetiformis or bullous pemphigoid but is currently regarded as a separate pathology [2]. There is often no specific trigger identified in LABD.
