Oridonin has been found (Xiao et al., 2016) to be an effective candidate for the treatment of gefitinib-resistant NSCLC by inhibiting EGFR/ERK/MMP-12 and CIP2A/PP2A/Akt signaling pathways, thereby inhibiting the proliferation, invasion, and migration of gefitinib-resistant NSCLC cells. The gene discussed is CIP2A; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
