In this research, we constructed the rat model of chronic heart failure after myocardial infarction by coronary artery ligation and found that compared with the sham operation group, the rats with heart failure had the poor general condition and lower exercise tolerance, as well as increased levels of heart failure markers ST-2 and NT-proBNP, increased ventricular volume, and decreased ejection fraction. This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and heart failure.
