Both of these ncRNAs have been implicated in senescence and inflammation-related pathways (such as the p23/p21 and the nuclear factor kappa light-chain enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB)), in the development of neurological disorders (such as Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s disease) [90] and other age associated conditions, such as fibrosis [79], cardiovascular disease [89, 91] and osteoporosis [92].
