This study identified a new molecular regulatory mechanism of MI/RI, namely, miR-494-3p can inhibit the mitochondrial autophagy transition of cardiomyocytes by regulating PGC1-α, thus alleviating the occurrence of myocardial ischemia‒reperfusion injury and providing a new perspective for the prevention and treatment of MI/RI. The gene discussed is PPARGC1A; the disease is myocardial ischemia.
