To this end, we conducted gene enrichment analysis, and observed stronger enrichments of upregulated genes involved in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (ADRA1A, TNNI3, MYL2) and cardiac muscle contraction (CACNA1C, CASQ2, CAMK2B) (Park et al., 2018; Ng et al., 2020) (Fig. 4B; Table S2). This evidence concerns the gene TNNI3 and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
