Autoreactivity of the 3′-UTR of GAPDH (Figure 2A) as well as of the coding and noncoding regions of PKM2 (Figure 2B), a gene whose product catalyzes the last step of glycolysis and plays an important role in tumor cell proliferation, may indicate that their gene dysfunction promotes carcinogenesis. The gene discussed is GAPDH; the disease is neoplasm.
