The results showed that the expression of CPNE1 was significantly correlated with grade (G2 vs. G3, p = 0.021; G2 vs. G4, p < 0.01; G3 vs. G4, p < 0.01), invasion range (T1 vs. T3, p < 0.01; T1 vs. T4, p < 0.01; T2 vs. T4, p = 0.028; T3 vs. T4, p = 0.036), stage (stage I vs. stage III, p = 0.016; stage I vs. stage IV, p < 0.01; stage II vs. stage IV, p < 0.01; stage III vs. stage IV, p = 0.046) and distant metastasis (M0 vs. M1, p < 0.01), while not correlated with gender (p = 0.41), age (p = 0.86), and lymph node metastasis (p = 0.11) (Figures 3A–G). This evidence concerns the gene CPNE1 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
