GLP1R and polycystic ovary syndrome: A randomized clinical trial investigated the effect of treatment with exenatide (a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist [GLP-1 RA]), dapagliflozin (a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitor [SGLT-2i]), exenatide/dapagliflozin, dapagliflozin/metformin extended-release, or phentermine/topiramate extended release on metabolism, body composition, and sex hormones in patients with PCOS and obesity.27 After 24 weeks of treatment, patients receiving exenatide/dapagliflozin and phentermine/topiramate experienced the greatest decreases in body weight and central adiposity.27
