We and others have shown previously that the activation of T cells with suppressive function, Tregs, is critical depend on the activation of IKK2 so that the activation of IKK1 and IKK2 play critical roles in different T-cell subset activation [74–77] and therefore might be therapeutic targets to inhibit or activate different T-cell subpopulations at different time points as kidney diseases progress.
