Zhao et al. (Zhao et al. 2017), suggested that the SNPs in SLC8A1, KCNJ1 or SLC12A1 alone were not related to colorectal adenoma or calcium intake, but a combination of SNP variant alleles in at least two genes could reduce colorectal adenoma when patients had a high calcium intake. The gene discussed is KCNJ1; the disease is colorectal adenoma.
