PTGS2, a key enzyme in prostaglandin biosynthesis, implicated in epilepsy53, cardiomyopathy and regeneration54 was also observed to be upregulated in both cardiotoxicity and neurotoxicity in our studies and through the interaction networks it associated with JUN family of transcriptions factors underscoring the overlapping pathways in toxicity and cancer. This evidence concerns the gene PTGS2 and cancer.
