Overexpression of nucleoside triphosphate diphosphate hydrolase 2 (ENTPD2) is an indicator of poor prognosis in HCC, Chiu DK et al. found that in HCC, ENTPD2 converts extracellular ATP into 5′-AMP, prevents myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSC) differentiation, promotes MDSC maintenance (31), and allows HCC cells to escape immune surveillance (32), but it has not been reported in gastric cancer. This evidence concerns the gene ENTPD2 and gastric cancer.
