Recent studies have shown that reducing the expression of FDFT1, SQLE, LSS, CYP51, TM7SF2, and EBP is beneficial in the treatment of NAFLD (Dong et al., 2020; Liu et al., 2021b; Kanoni et al., 2021; Li et al., 2020; Huang et al., 2021; Chang et al., 2021). This evidence concerns the gene FDFT1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
