Figure 6 is a schematic representation of genetic modifications altering p53-PVT1 interaction and the effects on biological processes. The genetic modifications delay the generation of cells for ferroptosis (Ji et al., 2022), modulate SLC7A11-p53 interaction (Lu et al., 2020), cause up- and downregulation of ferroptosis (Luo et al., 2018), and amplify the transformation of MSCs and apoptosis (Velletri et al., 2016). Table 3 summarizes the roles of p53 in cell death characterizing ferroptosis in osteosarcoma. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is osteosarcoma.
