To define possible mechanisms underlying lung damage in DSS-treated TCRδ-/- mice, we analyzed the expression of genes encoding cytokines and chemokines known to contribute to predominately neutrophilic lung inflammation including Csf3, Cxcl2, Il17a, and the monocyte chemoattractant Ccl2 (Figure 5A). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL2 and inflammation.
