The accumulation of abnormal Tau in the human brains has been implicated in major neurodegenerative diseases termed tauopathies, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), frontotemporal dementia with Parkinsonism-17 (FTDP-17), and so on [1–3]. The gene discussed is MAPT; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
