In translational analyses of previous phase 3 adjuvant trials, the presence of tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) was found to be predictive of greater efficacy of anthracycline‐only versus anthracycline‐ and docetaxel‐containing chemotherapy in HER2‐positive disease [40]; intensified, dose‐dense epirubicin, paclitaxel, and cyclophosphamide in node‐positive EBC [41]; and stCTX with docetaxel, doxorubicin, and cyclophosphamide in triple‐negative disease [42]. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is neoplasm.
