In medical research targeting clock genes, CRY1 may be related to the development of bladder cancer and leukemia (Hanoun et al., 2012; Jia et al., 2021), and therapeutic agents selective for CRY2 have been reported to be effective in treating glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor (Miller et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene CRY2 and urinary bladder carcinoma.
