IGFL1 and breast carcinoma: A recent study on IGFL2 found that miR-802 is a tumor growth suppressor and the long-stranded non-coding RNA of IGFL2 (IGFL2-AS1) can promote the progression of gastric cancer by inhibiting the expression of miR-80240, 41, while in breast cancer studies, IGFL2-AS1 acts as a factor mediating the KLF5/IGFL1 axis and inhibits miR4795-3p expression thereby affecting breast cancer proliferation42.
