Recently, it has been proved that the TMEM family is involved in the regulation of cervical cancer, in which TMEM48 promotes cell proliferation and invasion by activating the Wnt/-βcatenin pathway [16, 17]. Recent study have shown that serum TMEM40 has good diagnostic value, which is helpful to improve the early diagnosis of human hepatocellular carcinoma [18]. The gene discussed is TMEM40; the disease is cervical cancer.
