The increased MBL levels in survivors are also reflected by the MBL2 A allele (Figure 9D), where individuals with the MBL high-expressing wildtype allele (A/A) were 70% less likely to die from COVID-19 (OR 0.319 (95% CI 0.117-0.866), p=0.0261), compared to individuals with all other A allele and variant combinations. This evidence concerns the gene MBL2 and COVID-19.
