Previous research has revealed that ubiquitin-specific protease 43 (USP43) can greatly influence breast cancer growth and metastasis by regulating EGFR/PI3K/AKT and that USP43 can also regulate the breast cancer cell cycle and epithelial–mesenchymal transition pathway, hence promoting tumorigenesis [21, 22]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and breast carcinoma.
