Hossen et al. [29] observed that the encapsulation of a pro-apoptotic peptide (D (KLAKLAK)2, KLA), adipotide, in nanoparticles targeting prohibitin (an adipose vascular marker) (PTNP) could reduce the body weight of animals with obesity, treated (mice of the C57BL/6J lineage) under the effect of a significant decrease in serum leptin levels, in parallel with an anti-obesity effect on adipose tissue. This evidence concerns the gene LEP and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
