CD177 reportedly plays a key role in the genesis of several inflammatory diseases, such as arthritis [14], systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) [13], pathogen-induced colitis [15], and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) [16,17]; however, the function of CD177 in regulating NET formation and developing AP remains to be elucidated.
