The findings showed that CYP exposure exaggerated the airway inflammation induced by ovalbumin sensitization and produced a full-blown picture of Th2 low severe asthma featured by steroid resistance, high INF-γ/IL17, neutrophilic pneumonitis, M1 phenotype predominance, and abundance of the epithelial goblet cells with mucous hypersecretion. This evidence concerns the gene PPIG and asthma.
