Inhibitors of the JAK/STAT pathway have been approved to treat inflammatory disorders, hematopoietic malignancies, and solid tumors [20,21], and JAK inhibitors have been shown to be effective in suppressing STAT3 activation in glioblastoma, experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) models of multiple sclerosis, and a model of Parkinson’s disease [45,46,47,48]. The gene discussed is STAT3; the disease is glioblastoma.
