Our results showed that the expression levels and concentrations of Claudin-1 and ZO-1 were increased by S. cerevisiae QHNLD8L1, which were similar to those of the control group and even higher than those subjected to the S. boulardii CNCMI-745 treatment (Figure 5), suggesting that S. cerevisiae QHNLD8L1 may attenuate colitis by improving TJPs.
