As demonstrated in our study, we found that the two obesity-related parameters, waist-to-height ratio and waist circumference, had a stronger correlation with Lp-PLA2 levels in the younger age groups, which is consistent with previous research indicating that Lp-PLA2 is associated with abdominal adiposity [13,14,15,16]. Here, PLA2G7 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
