It was demonstrated by Kim et al. (2013) that naringenin decreased the atopic dermatitis skin lesions’ growth by inhibiting the formation of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) by activated CD4+ T-cells and also through the reduction of the infiltration of skin lesions through CD8+ T-cells, CD4+ T-cells, mast cells, and eosinophils. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and atopic eczema.
