Lapatinib, a tyrosine kinase dual inhibitor targeting epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) and Her2/Neu, has been widely accepted in ongoing preclinical or clinical applications for the treatment of various solid tumors, including those of the breast, lung, liver, head and neck, colon, prostate, gastric and ovarian cancers [23,24,25,26]. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and ovarian cancer.
