Bioinformatic analysis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma revealed that SPOCK1 mRNA was elevated in tumor tissues relative to non-tumorous adjacent tissues, and that higher SPOCK1 expression was associated with shorter survival and correlated with infiltration of tumor-associated fibroblasts and macrophages, suggesting a potential prognostic biomarker [49]. The gene discussed is SPOCK1; the disease is neoplasm.
