Although numerous publications have reported that SPOCK1 promotes the proliferation and migration of cell lines derived from different types of tumors [10,11,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32], only one study has demonstrated that silencing SPOCK1 attenuated proliferation, migration and invasion of ovarian cancer cell lines [17]. The gene discussed is SPOCK1; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
